Nowruz 2023
Nowruz (means new day) is the celebration of love, life and joy. It marks the end of an old year and the beginning of a new one and is celebrated on the day of the astronomical vernal equinox. Nowruz is a rite dating back to at least the 6th century BCE, marking the new year and ushering in spring.
We celebrated Nowruz with the UConn community on March 20! Such a beautiful and great event it was! Thank you all who showed up and celebrated the Iranian new year with us.
